The ignition system is crucial in the proper operation of a generator unit. The spark plug gap is the distance between the plug's center electrode and the ground flap (curved conductor at end of plug). The size of gap determines the arc voltage delivered to the air/fuel mixture resulting in internal combustion. Incorrect gap size may cause your equipment to operate erratically and could also fail to start.
